Jobs API

Authenticated JSON access to Lookout’s aggregated listings. Create an API key, pass it on every request, and skip HTML scraping.

API keys

Every Jobs API request requires a secret key. Keys start with lk_live_. Create up to 5 active keys per account. The full secret is shown only once.

Send your key on every request with either header:

Authorization: Bearer lk_live_YOUR_KEY

Missing or invalid keys return 401 with api_key_required or api_key_invalid.

Query parameters

Lookout-hosted recruiter posts use ids prefixed with ej_. Response: { "job": { … } }.

Rate limits

300 requests per minute per API key. Responses include:

X-RateLimit-Limit
X-RateLimit-Remaining
X-RateLimit-Reset — Unix timestamp

Exceeding the limit returns 429 with code: "rate_limited".

Prefer feeds or crawler hints without a key? Use the public RSS feed or llms.txt. The JSON API always requires a key.
